Inside the studio

A workspace shaped
like the way you knit

Garments, accessories, blankets, home décor, personal collections — every piece gets a home, a plan and a paper trail.

01

Project boards

Interactive workspaces built for long-term planning. Break a sweater into sleeves, body and finishing, then watch the whole build stay in view.

02

Progress journals

Row counts, dated notes, photos of the work in hand. Detailed progress records that show exactly where you stopped and why you changed course.

03

Yarn & needle inventory

Track weights, fibres, dye lots, remaining metres and every needle size in the tin — so the stash you own decides the project you start.

04

Technique flows

Assemble reusable step sequences — provisional cast-on, short-row shaping, grafted shoulders — and drop them into any future project intact.

05

Glossaries & stitch references

A searchable library of abbreviations, stitch patterns and methods, with bookmarks for the ones you reach for again and again.

06

Milestones & achievements

Mark the first cable, the first steek, the hundredth finished row. Achievement tracking that quietly proves how far your hands have come.

07

Checklists & templates

Customizable blueprints for the pieces you make often. Duplicate a template, adjust the numbers, and the ambitious build is already half planned.

08

Smart filters & tags

Tagged references, searchable categories and flexible sorting turn a growing archive into something you can actually navigate in seconds.

09

Craft tips & ideas

Practical guidance for blocking, seaming, substituting yarn and rescuing a dropped stitch — collected where the work actually happens.

Interactive · Gauge Lab

Swatch first.
Then the math.

Move the sliders the way you'd measure a swatch. The cast-on number, row count, yardage and the woven preview all recalculate live.

Stitch and row density → the numbers your project actually needs.

Estimates assume stockinette worked flat with a smooth yarn; ribbing, cables and colourwork draw the fabric in and eat more yardage. In the app every result like this saves straight into the project's plan sheet — with the swatch, the needle size and the date attached.

About us

Built by people
who count rows
out loud.

ROW 214 · STILL GOING

We are a small team of knitters, pattern nerds and interface designers who kept losing the important parts of a project — the modified sleeve cap, the dye lot, the needle that finally gave the right fabric — across notebooks, screenshots and phone notes. KnittyWitty is the studio we built to hold all of it in one place, for makers at every level of experience.

Our mission is to give creative ideas a structure that respects them. Inspiration arrives as a colour, a sketch, a swatch — and it deserves planning boards, progress journals, technique collections and templates strong enough to carry it from cast-on to bind-off without losing the spark that started it.

What you get is practical: garments, accessories, blankets, home décor and personal collections organized in interactive workspaces; yarn and needle inventories that keep the stash honest; reusable technique flows, glossaries, bookmarks and craft tips; milestone tracking, checklists and detailed records — all findable through smart filters, searchable categories and tags.

The value is in the long game. Every project you document makes the next one faster, because your blueprints, notes and hard-won fixes accumulate instead of evaporating. It is a professional environment for planning, documenting and mastering the craft — and it stays entirely on your device, quietly yours.

Cast on with intention. Keep every row you earn.

Legal

Privacy Policy

📅 Effective Date: May 18, 2026

KnittyWitty is built on a simple, deliberate rule: your craft is your business. The application does not collect, store on our side, or transmit any personal information. Every project board, progress journal, yarn and needle record, technique glossary, checklist and tag you create lives on your device and nowhere else. This policy explains exactly what that means.

01 Information We Collect

None. KnittyWitty has no registration, no accounts and no login. We do not ask for or receive your name, email address, phone number, postal address, date of birth, photographs, contacts, precise or approximate location, device identifiers, advertising IDs or usage analytics. Nothing you type into the app — project titles, row counts, yarn brands, dye lots, needle sizes, journal entries, tags or personal notes — is transmitted to us or to anyone else. It is written to your device's local storage and stays there.

02 How We Use Information

Because we never receive information, there is nothing for us to use. We do not profile you, do not build behavioural models, do not measure sessions, do not run A/B experiments on your content, and we do not sell, rent, licence or share data with advertisers, brokers or partners. Your content is processed on-device for one purpose only: to show it back to you inside the app, sorted, filtered and searched exactly as you asked.

03 Data Storage

All KnittyWitty content is stored locally in the application's private area of your device. There is no KnittyWitty cloud, no synchronisation service, no remote database and no hosted account holding a copy of your projects. Your planning boards, milestone trackers, inventories and reference libraries never leave the hardware you created them on unless you deliberately export or share a file yourself using your operating system's own tools.

04 Third-Party Services

KnittyWitty integrates no third-party analytics platforms, no advertising networks, no attribution or tracking SDKs, no crash-reporting services that transmit content, and no social media pixels. There are no embedded trackers observing how you browse your stitch references or which techniques you bookmark. No outside company receives a copy of your craft data through this application, because the application does not send it anywhere.

05 Data Security

The strongest protection is the one we designed in from the start: data that is never transmitted cannot be intercepted in transit, and data we never hold cannot be exposed in a breach of ours. On-device information is protected by your device's own security model — its storage sandbox, its passcode, biometric lock and encryption. We recommend keeping your operating system current and your screen lock enabled, since physical access to an unlocked device is the only realistic route to your notes.

06 Children's Privacy

KnittyWitty is safe for crafters of any age, including children under 13. We do not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information from anyone. There is no sign-up form, no profile, no messaging, no user-generated content shared with other people and no advertising. This approach is consistent with COPPA and comparable child-protection frameworks worldwide.

07 Your Control

You hold complete control over everything in the app. You can add, edit, re-tag or delete any project, journal entry, template, glossary item or inventory record at any time, and deletion inside the app is immediate. Removing KnittyWitty from your device permanently erases all associated local content. Because we keep no accounts and no server-side backups, we cannot restore deleted work for you — so please export or back up anything you want to keep before uninstalling.

08 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if the application's functionality changes or if legal requirements evolve. When we do, the Effective Date shown at the top will be revised and the current version will always be available here and within the app. Any change that could meaningfully affect your privacy will be described in plain language. Our commitment to a no-collection, on-device architecture is a design principle, not a temporary setting.

09 Contact

Questions about this policy, or about how KnittyWitty handles information, are always welcome. Write to privacy@knittywittyapp.com and a member of the team will reply personally. We are happy to explain any part of our approach in more detail — including the parts that simply say "we don't do that".

In one line: no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads, no trackers. Your stitches, your device, your business.
